ESPLIEGO and its properties

Lavandula Latifolia Médicus

BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION - 60 cm high shrub that forms branched, erect branches and quadrangular stems. The leaves are opposite, linear, whole and rolled at the edges, gray when young and greyish-green

after. The flowers are born at the end of the stems, in the form of inflorescences in spike, more dense at the end than at the base, gray-blue. The fruits are bright achenes.

COLLECTION - The flowering summit in summer, when it is in full bloom.


DRUGS - Flowers.


ACTIVE INGREDIENTS - Essential oils, tannins, rosmarinic acid, coumarins and phytosterols.


PROPERTIES - Light sedative, antispasmodic, carminative, appetizer, digestive, antiseptic, diuretic and healing.



USES and APPLICATIONS - Oral use in cases of anxiety, insomnia, migraines, dysmenorrhoea, cough, flu, bronchitis, inappetence, flatulence, gastrointestinal spasms. In external use in disinfection and wound healing, burns, ulcers, eczema, acne and insect stings.
