ACEDERA AND ITS PROPERTIES

It is a plant with sour taste, acid leaves and dry root.

Properties: AntiescorbĂștica, laxative and diuretic.

How to use: Against scurvy: The raw leaves are chewed and then swallowed.

To increase the secretion and excretion of urine: 10 grams of root are cooked in 1/2 liter of water and is taken as water for use.
Against tumors, flemones and abscesses: Apply cataplasms of sorrel leaves and onion, well chopped on the affected region.


To purify the blood: A broth is prepared as follows:

They boil in a liter and a half of water. 10 grams of sorrel root, 10 grams of strawberries, 10 grams of wild chicory, 10 grams of dandelion and a handful of borage leaves. Once boiled, it is passed through a cloth, squeezed and the liquid or tea is taken. It is useful for nervous, constipated and bilious people.


People with asthma, liver, stomach or kidneys should refrain from taking it because of the large amount of calcium oxalates it contains.
