The tincture of endrinas has sudorific, diuretic and laxative applications. In food they are used to make preserves and jams.

The barks and leaves have antiasthmatic and antidiabetic properties.

Diuretic infusion and infant laxative

The blackthorn flowers are somewhat laxative, useful in infusion as infantile laxative, but above all they are diuretic. An infusion can be prepared for both applications with two teaspoons of dried, shredded flowers in a cup of water. Take two or three times a day.

Syrup against diarrhea

Crush half a kilogram of blackthorn fruit, and boil for 15 minutes in a saucepan with a glass of water and a half-kilogram of sugar. Do not put on fire excessively alive to avoid a rapid evaporation of the water, and that the sugar can become caramel. Strain, squeeze the liquid with a cloth and store it in a closed jar. It is taken by means of a spoon, adding some water if it is very thick.

Antiasthmatic and antidiabetic cooking

Boil for 10 minutes a cup of water with a spoonful of leaves and bark of artery, very dry and crumbled. Filter after standing. Take a single cup a day for two days in a row.
