ENEBRO (Juniperus comunis L), fruits (berries)
Traditional Uses:
A) internal use: cystitis, urethritis, kidney and bladder stones; Gout and swelling (edema); Bronchitis, pharyngitis, dyspepsia, bad breath.
The infusion is prepared with 1 tablespoon of the vegetable for 1 liter of freshly boiled water; Drink 1 cup 3 times in a day.
B) external use: rheumatism, arthritis, post-herpetic neuralgias, muscular pains, mycosis. The decoction (boiling) is prepared by boiling 1 tablespoon of the vegetable in 1 liter of water for 10 minutes: use by washing and compresses. Effects: anti-neuralgic (1), antiseptic (2) urinary and respiratory tract, appetizer (3), carminative (4), diuretic (5), expectorant
Precautions: do not administer during pregnancy or to patients with renal insufficiency; May increase the effect of hypoglycemic drugs and diuretics; May decrease the effect of oral anticoagulants.
Other background: its use is endorsed only by tradition.
